SERVICE 1

Free Inspection

Traditionally Civic Robes are extremely old and aren’t in the best condition. Michaels are pleased to offer a free inspection of all Civic Wear.

​Michael Stopford the business development manager of Michaels Civic Robes will visit the Town Hall or other Civic Building to inspect all Robe, Headwear & Accessories.

From this inspection, the customer will receive a detailed report describing the condition and advising a cost-effective solution to increase the longevity of Mayoral & Civic Wear.

Bespoke Manufacturing

Michaels Civic Robes are proud to support British Manufacturing. We provide a combination of experienced seamstresses, tailoring and traditional manufacturing techniques. Michaels have the capabilities to provide bespoke manufacturing, repairs and alteration services such as fur replacement.

​Here at Michaels we understand that every wearer of Civic clothing & headwear will be different. Our experienced team are able to alter any existing or new Mayoral robe to make it more suitable for the elected wearer.

The repair and refurbishment of a robe can vary depending on the condition of the robe but a member of the Michaels team will keep any customer updated regarding delivery dates.

Specialist Cleaning & Refurbishment

Traditionally Civic Robes are extremely old, with such history and a story of every robe. Michaels understand that a brand new robe isn’t always feasible and with the growing budget cuts.

Our specialist cleaning process can increase the longevity of Civic Robes.

On average Civic Robes & Civic Regalia are worn between 4-10 times a year but can be worn for long periods of time during a Civic event.
